As we operate as an appointment only studio, our working hours will fluctuate to work around what is best for our customers! Meaning that we may not always be in the studio when you want to call down.
If you do wish to see us, please arrange a time and date with either artist!
-
Yes!
Both Jack and Miguel have experience with reworking existing tattoo designs you have, covering up older healed pieces or tattooing over scar tissue. Whether it’s a carefully integrated fineline piece or a bold solid blast over, we will work with your ideas to help you achieve your tattoo goals!
As expected with all our work, you will always receive a unique design that personally compliments the area of your body.
We will always be honest with what you can expect from this process. Whilst one tattooing technique might work for one case but not another, we will always put your best interests first to deliver you the best possible results!
-
No, we are a tattoo only studio.
-
We are an appointment only studio. All tattoo appointments will need to be booked in advance with a paid deposit included.
-
Unfortunately, we are not wheelchair accessible. If we can be of any help to you in relation to accessing the studio, please let us know before your appointment.
-
There are no parking facilities outside of the studio itself. The closest car park that we recommend using is Fleethams Multi-Storey car park (about a 30 second walk from the studio).
-
Yes!
All of our inks that we use are registered as vegan friendly. None of the ingredients found in our inks, stencil paper and other materials that we use during your tattoo are tested on animals.
Your appointment
-
Miguel & Jack take bookings individually through their own separate enquiry forms.
Once you have filled in an enquiry form, please wait a few days whilst our artists work through all your ideas. They will then be in touch via Instagram or Email (whichever you have provided) to offer you a time and date for your appointment!
Please note that we do not take enquiries through the Wilted Rose Instagram or Facebook.
-
Of course!
We encourage anyone who would like to see the studio or to meet us in person before they booked in for a tattoo. Please just let us know what time/ day you would like to come down (so we can make sure we are not busy tattooing!)
-
Miguel and Jack have experience in different areas and styles of tattooing and can recommend the right artist for what you might be after accordingly.
Both of our artists are DBS checked for your peace of mind.

Yes.
To get tattooed you must be over 18 years of age by law. Even with parental consent, tattooing anyone under this age is illegal. We will need to see a valid form of ID (driving licence or passport) and we ask that you bring this with you to your appointment.
-
As the studio is quite small, we ask that you come alone to your appointment.
Please let us know if you require a chaperone to your appointment or wish to bring anyone with you.
We don’t have space in the tattooing areas for extra guests, however they can sit in the waiting area (but it is really boring for anyone really so again, we recommend you come by yourself).
Please let us know if you require a chaperone to your appointment, so long as we know someone else is coming with you.
-
The price you will be quoted encompasses the whole shebang of your experience when getting a tattoo from us, which includes not just the tattoo itself, but the drawing time, admin involved with booking, researching your design and the consumables.
We don't quote on hourly rate, but by individual piece. The cost of your tattoo will vary depending on a few factors such as size, placement, level of detail and if you’re wanting linework or colour.
-
A deposit secures your appointment space and means if you don't turn up or cancel last minute, the artist doesn't completely lose out. Deposits are non-returnable and what you have already paid will be deducted from the final cost during your appointment.
-
Yes, however…
You must let us know in advance if you intend to use numbing cream before your appointment.
Please bear in mind numbing cream can, in rare cases, affect the healing process of tattoos. It can also wear off quicker than stated on the packaging and your tattoo can appear to be more painful overall. Tattoos can hurt but we will always try and make you as comfortable as possible during your session.
Numbing cream must be applied before your appointment with us to avoid any delays (as it takes a while to kick in).
-
Yes, however…
Please keep in mind that as artists, we spend a lot of our time researching, drawing and bringing your ideas to life. Please only enquire to book your tattoo when you are absolutely sure of what you want!
You will be able to make small changes on the day if you wish, but if you completely decide on wanting a different tattoo design, you will need to book another appointment and you will lose your deposit.
-
Your artist can reschedule your appointment with sufficient notice and we ask that you contact them as soon as you’re able to do so.
We ask for a minimum of 48 hours notice to rearrange your appointment without forfeiting your deposit.
Any cancellations or rearrangements in any less time will result in you losing your deposit as your artist will be losing out on a days wage. You will be then required to pay a new deposit to book in again.
Please read and understand ALL of our policies before booking in, as they will apply to every appointment you make. You can view them by clicking HERE.

In our experience, we start by advising customers to get a good nights rest before the day of your appointment.
On the day, make sure you have eaten a nutritious, substantial meal a hour before you get tattooed, giving your metabolism chance to work and help you!
We advise you bring any snacks or drinks you will want as we can take regular breaks throughout the session whenever you feel like you need one.
Go easy on any alcohol consumption the night before and any caffeine on the day as these can have a negative effect on you!
We’re located in the town centre, should you need to grab anything at last minute.
-
Absolutely!
Never feel afraid to ask for a few minutes, a drink/ food break or a run to the toilet!
We would never want to keep tattooing you if you feel uncomfortable for any reason during your appointment.
-
Your artist will walk you through how to care for your new tattoo in order for it to heal safely and look its best.
If you ever need a reminder, just get in touch!
-
After your tattoo is finished, we allow one free touch up to the ink that may have been affected during the healing process.
We will need a photo of what needs touching up and if it is needed, the appointment will need to be booked in. If you do want to add parts to the design however, this will need a regular paid appointment as it is not deemed as a touch up.
Please allow 2 months before enquiring about a touch up, as this allows your skin to settle down and heal.
-
Absolutely!
We highly recommend that you bring a sugary snack and a bottle of water during your appointment.
We are located right in the middle of the town center so you are welcome to nip out for anything if you feel like you may need it. You are welcome to use any of our facilities such as our fridge, kettle and of course our complimentary tea and coffee!
Other Questions
-
No. Although a nice idea in theory, doing this would be highly unhygienic.
-
No, we do not practice permanent makeup (or any micropigmentation procedures).
-
We are not taking on any new artists or apprentices currently. Any openings will be advertised on our social media.
But wait! I still need some help…
